I did not know these subs existed, yes I want to hear Reddit's strong opinions on rollar coasters lmao.
I'm just imagining with how much redditors love getting into super pedantic arguments over shit, how that would manifest when the subject is rollar coasters of all things.
Okay, got a question, what's the normie shit that they have the most disdain for, like what seperates casual roller coaster fans from those with 'real taste'?
What should I be obsessing over to sound like I know what I'm talking about?
Yep, one last question, what is the shittest possible take I could have about a beloved RC or type?
the roller coaster people take themselves very seriously. i created an account on the rollercoaster database website bc i wanted to see what rollercoasters ive been on. i stopped when i found out it requires you to verify your location when you say youve been on a rollercoaster! it checks to make sure youre actually at the location of the rollercoaster you claim to be at so you dont cheat the leaderboards lol. I'm not gonna visit all those places again to please this website

coaster enthusiast works fine
"im not owned! im not owned!!", i continue to insist as i slowly shrink and transform into a corn cob
I remember a distinct moment in my childhood when I was like eight years old where I resented kiddie coasters at theme parks. The actual full sized coasters were still too scary for me to get on, but the kiddie coasters weren't anywhere near thrilling enough and began to bore me. Maybe this redditor is hitting that same stage in their life.
just bein a grown adult getting on it and wearing the most sourpuss expression the whole time
the only thing cooler would be if they could drop you off somewhere different from where you started
unfortunately that kind of technology just doesn't exist
I went to a cafe once with a friend where the sitting area had some tables for the adults and a giant playground area for the kids. That was pretty dope, like a McDonald's except you actually wanted to be there (judgement on the food not the people there). It had brightly coloured covers in areas which is why the picture reminded me of it. Anyway, we need more cafes like that, it's a pleasant for both the kids and adults.
I hate rollercoasters but I did go through a phase of watching a hell of a lot of rollercoaster videos on YouTube. Also lots of dark rides/ghost trains. There is something very pleasing about it that I can’t put my finger on.
