Are these the paid protestors I've heard so much about.
My university had a Palestine rally yesterday seemingly announced a few hours before. 100~ Palestine supporters, maybe 5 zionist counterprotestors with at least one of them being a uniformed org member. It isn't otherwise a radical university and I'd expect equal if not inverse numbers of supporters. Like I went to it expecting to see a line of zionists shouting and it was just a few large sons trying to hold an Israeli flag straight.
It's lovely to hear a huge crowd chant "Biden Biden you can't hide, we charge you with genocide". Zero hesitation from anyone in the crowd.
At my university there were recently several genocidal phone calls/emails sent to some of our protestors. Literal stuff saying "we hope all Palestinian [slur words] are murdered" and worse. But they literally came from fucking Oklahoma (our uni's in New England). The threats only strengthened our resolve.
take the money, and walk straight over to the counter protest with a massive palestine flag
*after running a successful business in a low-income neighborhood for 36 months
The biggest group of counterprotesters I saw were three middle ages people that brought beach chairs and a Trump flag. They sat there for maybe a half hour and then left. It takes zero actual effort to be pro-Israel. You can literally sit at home and watch slop and you serve the status quo thus so.
Demand payment up front, no contract, and then form a counter protest instead.
Get the $250, pay 5 otherwise unlikely to attend people $50 for them to be at the counter protest for at least an hour (pay them after of course).
This is how you fund activism under capitalism.
Yeah I just saw that, when I first read about it on twitter they were still running. They did also say this:
We are pleased to announce that we have successfully allocated funding to help thousands of students attend the event.
Hey, some of us are over 40. Are we really the prime demographic for apartheid apologists?
I mean if you look at Zionist rallies, the vast majority of people you'll see are middle to older aged white people. But if you look at pro-Palestine rallies, you generally have people of all ages and races
Right there’s actually quite a few over 40 folks at a lot of these rallies, it’s more the contrast between how bereft of youth the Zionist crowd is.
the whole premise of zionism is so insane that they can't get young jews to buy into it without spending a lot of money on propaganda. it's part of the reason they hate the diaspora so much, because it's not supposed to be possible for jews to have a sense of community outside the ethnostate.
Heya customs official! Now I know I don’t have a passport with me, but could you please accept my microgrant to let me through? Thanks
