it'd be pretty based if it did tho. could you imagine the tears among libs and chuds alike? :sadness:

    I was in your shoes not long ago. Tbh for eggs it was seeing a macerator and realizing that like hundreds of millions of male baby chicks gets sliced up every year so we can have eggs.

    For dairy, well... it was realizing that cows must be constantly having babies in order to produce milk, and 50% of their babies (the male ones) still get slaughtered, usually for veal. And those dairy cows still get slaughtered after a few years when they're no longer as productive as they used to be.

      I'll likely get there eventually, especially once substitutes are better/more commonly available. Problem is pretty much all my favorite veg meals have cheese in them so I'm basically waiting for substitutes that I'm able to hotswap in... I do make sure to buy from sustainable and free range farms. All that said, I'm ok with acknowledging my selfishness here and that I could be better.
