I honestly can't be a100% sure whether this is sarcasm or not.

Edit: Here's the discord screenshot I found.

Also further down the channel I saw this too.

Is it just me or do they actually sound like they are being anti-commie?

Edit 2:

de-perception [SIGHT] — Right there. That blotch of blue stapled to the end of the username. The suspiciously low follower count. The community notes calling them out for misinformation. This Twitter poster bears a sort of digital aposematism; all the hallmarks of someone who vastly overestimates their own importance.

de-rhetoric — And this no-name on some non-descript Discord is a revisionist on top of everything else, if not wholly against Mazovian thought. You're not wasting your time engaging with this drivel, are you?

dubois-depressed — I'm engaging with it, alright. I'm engaging with it hard.

de-drama [Hard: Success] — Ooh, yes, good show, comrade! An excellent show, indeed! What will it be, then? Inducing a massive struggle session? Manipulating the power users to eventually seize control of the server? Death threats? Goodness, I hope it's death threats!

    dubois-depressed — "Kim, take a look at this post. It's a revisionist."

lt-kitsuragi — "That would appear to be so. Does this have something to do with the investigation?"

dubois-depressed — "Absolutely. If we can find some evidence to connect this post to this murder, then we're gonna blow the whole case wide open."

lt-kitsuragi — "Of course." The lieutenant turns his attention back to the crime scene. "Let me know if you find anything else, Detective."

Sounds like it to me. That's the line my schoolbooks took; the section on Marx was exclusively about how he "never did real work and wanted to take from the people who did"

I just can't grasp how you can play DE and think Fascism is based. How could you treat Kim of all people badly?

If anything DE further solidified my communist ideology.

My favorite response to that is “the method of analysis and ideology that he developed became the very basis of governance and societal development for a nation of 1.4 billion people that is currently ascendant. It has helped lift hundreds of millions of people out of poverty - responsible for probably the most significant, rapid increase in living standards in human history. But go ahead, History Teacher, tell me what you have accomplished with your life that’s comparable. I mean, I know you bowled a 300 that one time, but other than that…”

Yeah there's really no way to take "you have to keep in mind who wrote it" except that some aspect of Karl Marx's life and person is supposed to put things into perspective negatively.

Not sure I get the link between disco elysium and this hasbara guy?

I wouldn't know what playing DE would change for you seeing as I got ten minutes and two novels worth of text into the game and was like nope

I'd love to see what the hype is all about one day but I'll wait for the therapy edition wherein the main character takes his pills and his brain stops flooding him with thoughts as though he has to have an opinion about every last detail of the world around him; I'll take either a therapy edition or the bat to back of the head edition.

Out of curiosity: did you play it on first release where most of the text was not voiced? If so, I'd give it another go, all the text is voiced now and voiced very well.

The rest of your critique makes it clear you didn't get far in the game, because that stuff is kinda the point of it all.
