Depression, anxiety and other mental illnesses also cause memory problems. And mental illnesses are exacerbated by stress.

I might be in a fog, but I haven't forgotten the mysterious "vaping illness" that cropped up in nursing homes around Fort Detrick months before the Covid outbreak in Wuhan soviet-huff

...is this why Walgreens couldn't fill my Adderall prescription? I'm like 30% joking.

I think it might be - people who have normal energy/concentration levels get long COVID brain fog and then start wondering if it's a focus issue. I got dx'd with attention deficit issues a few years back but it really got bad after I got COVID. I definitely want to get back on a stimulant so I can function better but I'm making do with Wellbutrin b/c by the time I went to the doctor the shortage had already happened and it helps with my mild depression anyways.

huh, apparently it goes straight from "therapeutic dose" to "feel like shit" dose with no "fun times" dose in between like amphetamines have, probably a factor there

One of the biggest keys seems to be reduced mitochondrial energy production in various cells/ tissues/ organs, induced by COVID-19. This can happen even with mild cases, alas. There are various ways to induce mitochondrial neobiogenesis, exercise being amongst the most accessible. Basically tell your body it needs more mitochondria by exercising.

I can't think because increasingly large amounts of my attention are being devoted to all the ways we're screwing ourselves over at the species level, didn't even need to get covid.
