This is unambiguously a good outcome, but this is attributable to the people that have been fighting to get trans rights mainstreamed for years, not the democrats.
They aren't the same, they have the same goals and work together to achieve those goals.
I feel like the dems are generally ahead of republicans on these kinds of issues, but still way slower to come around than their base or even the general public. I have no sources, I'm just remembering Obama evolving to suddenly not be explicitly homophobic.
This. For right now dems are coasting by pretending to care about progressive issues because ultimately they have no skin in that game. When push comes to shove they'll throw whoever they can under the bus and align with the right to cover their asses.
Remember: it's easy to be an accelerationist when you're not the one being accelerated on.

LGBT rights are the only thing Biden is unambiguously better on than Trump. That being said, he offers what should be guaranteed in a functioning society, and won't actually address the issues to queer people posed by capitalism

Biden has been pushing for the same "open up the country, back to normal" policies, and it's not like he waited for widespread vaccine adoption so that it would be safer to do so.
Sure, people are getting vaccinated now, but that's because we have vaccines now. That has nothing to do with which president is in office, that's simply a function of how long the vaccine took to develop and produce. It just happened to be ready for widespread deployment while Biden was in office.
I would give credit to Biden on that front if he waived patent protection on the vaccines to allow the vaccines to be produced globally in order to speed up vaccination rates. But so far we've only had empty promises signaling that he's considering taking action, with no actual action being taken.
That's cool, Dems still suck major ass overall and aren't worth supporting most of the time tho.

They are so far below the bar, that being borderline acceptable on a few positions is not enough to make them good. Both parties are made up of fascist murders, so arguments about who is slightly kinder on the home front are pointless. Vote for them if you must to keep the more viscous ones out of office, but do not think for a second the distinction matters. They will never declaw their rivals, as they know that threat is the only thing keeping them afloat.
