Are they priming western populations for a conflict? It looks like a pretty full spectrum media campaign. I could become difficult for chinese people to operate a business in the west with dehumanising campaigns like this.

A large part of the Australian political class seems to want to go to war with China. The fact that they aren't in the dominant position anymore seems to have been a surprise to them.

    It already is. A very popular Chinese food chain in NYC has temporarily shut down multiple locations due to fear by the owner and employees after recent attacks. ALL Asian restaurants struggled in the beginning of covid, not even just Chinese ones because racist Americans thought they were spreading covid. It was to the point where if you ordered Chinese food in March-July of last year they’d often give you extra food just to try to get you to come back. I know a lot of people very afraid to ride subways or busses, especially when it’s dark out.

      The fact that business are allowed to be affected like that is pointing towards a dark timeline imo. Even dubya came out and said muslims aren't all bad during that demonization campaign.
