I don't even hate my job, it's fine honestly, but it pays like shit and I don't want to be here

I don’t hate what I do at my job necessarily but I hate working.

Like I just like having free time until I get sick of it. I’m on day 10 without a day off and it’s been super difficult losing the majority of my nights and weekends, but I don’t have any leftover energy to look for a new job.

I hate having to get out of bed especially when my dog is trying to cuddle up. She gets super upset when she realizes I'm leaving it breaks my heart lol

the most fulfilled i've been at my job was last year during lockdown - i still had to go into my workplace, but they put me on different duties so I was helping the other half of the department, tending to animals, like fish, snakes, insects - doing feeds and cleans and stuff. It meant that every day i had a solid amount of mostly manual labour to do and i would just go into a flow state and blitz from 9-3.
normally i have a constant level of anxiety and restlessness because i don't have fixed duties to do - my normal role is essentially 'be on call in case someone needs you, do stocktakes and update risk assessments'
