Clearly the solution in Crimea is the same solution as in Palestine: a global zero state solution, or alternatively, a 7.9 billion state solution: Either no countries, or every person is their own country.

We could finally ditch all the sovereign citizens and watch them immediately die

The short term solution in Crimea ,since the two states "claiming" it are at worst equaly bad, is probably for the to do what the big majority of the population wants. Which is joining Russia , something that beyond agreeing with the public polls and refrendum etc, is obvious by language, history and ethnographics of the erea . If the question was seceding from just plain boringly bad country to join a much worse and more reactionary one then i could see having the convo as leftists that they shouldnt even if its the majorities will. But since that isnt the case im team Crimea to Russia on this one between the 2 alternatives. Which is actualy whats happening so whatever

Hear me out, though. What if we took all of the disputed and unclaimed territories and just cut them out with a really big terraforming device, and then moved them all to an existing island or atoll that is currently unclaimed or disputed in order to make a new country which all countries and no countries can claim.
