Hey remember when Him and Roiland did everything in their power to fuck over their workers unionizing and then when they still did Roiland went onto Reddit and bitched about it?

You make an episode, you see, and call it a block. Next episode you make is connected to the previous episode, forming a chain of connected episodes or blocks. Leftists not embracing the future of technology smh

This makes a lot more sense than you think. Dan Harmon founded channel 101 which was a monthly short film festival where the audience voted on which shorts would be continued into series at the next festival. You could build a blockchain where the consensus mechanism was some kind of vote perhaps with a proof of having played the submitted shorts which then forms a ledger of which film shorts are the official ones in the chain.

Now is this what Dan Harmon is doing? Almost certainly not.

Why not? because like everything else this would be 1000x easier and more effective to implement without blockchain technology.

what the fuck does that even mean

It means "cryptocurrency" is a trending search term and TV networks do content exclusively based on what appeases the Algorithm Gods now.

Dan Harmon probably asked to do a new comedy, and a procedurally generated marketing director spat out a spec sheet for what that comedy needed to contain, complete with marketing campaign and sponsor copy.

Yes, but consider the market value generated by this series. Potentially trillions of currency points.

Dude is already in hock to Adult Swim for 50 episodes of Rick and Morty he’s extremely slow on delivering. Now he’s taking on a whole new series??

Justin Roiland already started a different series (Solar Opposites). I think they're legit just bored of Rick and Morty.

If you like Rick and Morty, yeah. It's darker in some ways though.

Edit: plus, there's a scene where they absolutely slaughter a bar full of neo-Nazis.

      That's not a bug. It's a feature.

Getting paid to do 10,000 episodes and receiving seven figures upfront for the work, then kind of slowly pissing out content over the next ten years because it's guaranteed income, while you spend the lion's share of your time doing things with your life that you actually enjoy.
