featuring Ken Loach and Jeremy Corbyn interviews (though the latter isn’t in this trailer, I think they’re saving him as a surprise tbh), a documentary about the anarchist punk band who used their one hit to suggest people shoplift their album, steal food if they couldn’t afford it, raise money for causes they supported and throw a bucket of water over John Prescott “for being a new labour twat”.
“The question is - what now for an aging anarchist and is there any hope for the future?”
I need to look into them more, everything I've heard is based.
The live version of The Day The Nazi Died is one of my personal favourites.
I personally prefer their earlier stuff which is more punk, they then did folk music and then dance pop stuff. Pictures of Starving Children Sell Records and Never Mind the Ballots are good starts
Chumba were based as fuck. Probably the only band known in common between crust punks and top 30 listeners from the 90s. Bjork was also in anarcho punk band
Them performing on TOTP wearing shirts that said “one hit wonder” was an amazing moment. They were fully aware and had no interest in having another “hit” after Tubthumping.
