I am pretty sure that every school I’ve been to has had a deal with Microsoft and made office available to its students; either the Office365 shit (through a browser) or as a download on their website.

If your school email is through Microsoft (login thru outlook or exchange), you 100% already have the online Microsoft account and can go to office.com and log in. If you can log in (using school email), you can download office to your machine, or upload files (the template) to OneDrive and Office will have access to it.

You can try calling your IT department and asking, if you can’t find that on the schools website once your logged in.

If you go this route and need a hand with anything I’ll try my best to help

Why does it have to be Microsoft Word? What features do you need?

The place to start would be by creating an account on the MDL forum and reading through the info and tools available there. Probably avoid "cracked" office torrents on public trackers, way too easy to slip malware into those.

The people in this thread that are recommending to download and run software from public torrents are wild.

You can download a verified office installer iso from msdn and then activate the installation with software from github ,

Potentially freeoffice might work, it's proprietary but from what I've heard it has good compatibility with MS office documents. Just thought I'd put it out there in case you ever needed something legit that might work. Definitely recommend borrowing word though if you can though since word works with word docs 100% of the time.
