Yeah, the furthest left you get out of comics are usually ones that are like "Is it okay for a superhero to kill people to make the world better?" and the writer being like "Yes, but it still makes them bad compared to the ones that don't"

I feel like Watchmen pretty conclusively answered "no" to that one.
