Combination of a really bad nickel allergy (a lot of needles are made with nickel) and a severe phobia result in me generally passing out and stopping breathing. I had to have surgery a few years ago, and they had to anaesthetize me with gas before they could give me a topical anaesthetic and a bunch of antihistamines without freaking out so they could put in an IV with the intravenous anaesthetic so they could do the surgery. Three layers of anaesthesia.

That’s really unfortunate for you but really fascinating! Thanks for sharing that with us, I’d have never considered that some people have huge problems getting an injection.

Really hope they get a non-injectable vaccine available for you soon.

There's a lot of people out there that just don't want to get vaccinated, and it drives me batty as one of the few people that literally can't get vaccinated for just about anything. I got hospitalised after getting the HPV vaccine as a teen.

This might be of interest to you:

(After you pointed out the problems with injections I went down a rabbit hole of looking at alternatives last night)

This is awesome. Hopefully once Covid vaccines start rolling out in places that are more difficult for field deployment of traditional vaccines, these will be available here too.
