I get why you could be a monarchist in Britain or Japan or Belgium. Places that have an actual monarchy where you can be taken in by the pageantry, feel safety and comfort in supporting the status quo and tickle your snob genes by identifying with the upper echelons in society.
But in France? The place that is famous for chopping off crowned heads? A place where monarchism makes you a weird reactionary nerd? Why?
