I’ve only watched the first season, but I think she’s a pretty textbook example of bitch wife.
Her feelings and desires get in the way of letting the protagonist do cool crime stuff so that makes her terrible. Similar to Skylar in Breaking Bad, although I think Edie Falco does a better job playing that kind of character.

She’s not crazy though she’s the reasonable one
She's a woman, she's automatically considered to be in the insane category no matter how reasonable she is.
