It's gotten to the point where i can't use the site without it pissing me off in minutes. Mostly just want a site for memes and lgbt stuff.
No. Any viable Reddit alternative will, in time, become Reddit. All this has happened before, and all this will happen again.
Tildes.net - Kinda libby but created out of frustration by a former Reddit admin (Deimos, the guy who created the AutoModerator bot). The idea was to do a better job of promoting high quality posts and remove assholes instead of playing the freeze peach card. I haven't been keeping tabs lately, but it is definitely better than Reddit.
lobste.rs - Kinda like YCombinator's "Hacker News" but probably less pathological.
Also there's this thing called Lemmy.
Have you thought about diving into the vtuber rabbit hole? It's a lot nicer than it looks.
Maybe you like artsy shit and would enjoy drawing along with or watching Ina draw stuff while hearing bad dad jokes and puns once in a while
Maybe you like listening to a rapper lay down killer bars when in professional musician mode and be a doof all the other times.
Maybe you're more into watching a more gaming oriented streamer with an odd sense of dorky humor.
Maybe you want to watch a multilingual KFC parody with a bright personality as she interviews, and live-translates for, her coworkers in the the Japanese branch to help bridge the gap between cultures.
Maybe you want to get blown away by the sheer rhythm game skills of a country girl who also has a great singing voice
Of course I don't really watch any of their streams since that's not really my fix, but mainly enjoy them (including all of the other vtubers) as musicians and artists. Unless they're stupidly good at something like Gura at rhythm games, or Suisei at simultaneously playing Tetris 99, a competitive version of tetris, while also practicing her singing skills
Yeah they got the Holostars network who's the brother branch to the Hololive network. They're a bit smaller but a growing bunch of fun lads. I like their singing too.
He's a good fella to learn with, if anyone's interested in learning wtf is a vtuber
There is this website called digg dot com
Lol no, don't go there it's the site that actually popularized reddit when there was a mass exodus of people who didn't like digg powert users. Funny how that's exactly what reddit became mostly, at least for the default subs and front page
Serious answer is maybe MetaFilter . Not quite a clone but does aggregate links and shit. It's very fuckin ugly design though, so it got that part down
I checked that website out for no more than 1 minute, IMO, MetaFilter looks like an old (but not old enough to be based) wordpress blog with blog comments. Very far from a reddit/digg clone.
