      I wonder if it is some kind of rank signifier? The right-most one seems like it may have more stars than the others. And maybe this is just the lighting but the stars on it look more yellow than the others.

      It bears some resemblance to the flag of the Third Republic, but the stars are on the wrong stripe to be an exact match.

    I've always loved the "pouches all the way up to the collarbone" look, idk I just think it looks neat. Patches are cooler too, and the flag colors are so lively. One thousand percent cooler than the dry, boring look of Amerikkan troops with their camo all over, overstuffed backpacks, and pompous, overdesigned-but-still-boring flag.
