No this is fair, we should add a caveat, if your family weren't slave/property owners and still fought for the reactionary side in a revolution they weren't just profoundly on the wrong side of history, they're also fucking suckers.
The peasants in Granma only outnumbered the landlords 3:1 so there actually were lots of kulak/slave owners. Most of them only had one or two servants though.
Literally everyone that came to the US was at some point a slave owner or a slave owner sympathizer. With the exception of some urban elite who fled for better wages.
