    I used to think /r/Europe was pretty enlightened, and had a few really good posters I would follow. Then one time the topic of gypsies came up and boy, these exact same people just went full on Jim Crow, explaining how they didn't pay tax, stole, and polluted everywhere they went. I was flabbergasted. When I objected, I was told I was a stupid American who had no experience with them and I should shut up. Boy, that was an eye-opener. So much of their superiority complex is an easily pierced façade.

      oh yeah, even the so-called leftist nordic countries are incredibly reactionary about the romani people. i can't believe i was subscribed to that hellhole for like 3 years
