It's no more dumb than the Wuhan lab-leak theory, which means it deserves more attention than it's being given.

It's actually more implicating than the Wuhan leak theory, because:

      1. even if the Wuhan lab leak WAS true, those viral studies were still funded by the USA. This is a fact.

      2. the Ft Detrick theory would in no way implicate China.

      https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2019/07/17/third-person-has-died-after-respiratory-illness-outbreak-greenspring-village-fairfax-officials-say/

There's also a load of circumstantial evidence that casts doubt on the Wuhan theory, and would back up the Detrick one. including:

      1. mystery Pneumonia in DC retirement homes in July 2019 (Ft Detrick is 45 miles away). A comment written in July 2019 says that their doctor was seeing loads of these mystery pneumonia patients, sick for ~2.5 weeks or longer

      2. mystery vape pneumonia in August 2019 (which was NOT caused by vitamin E additives, and didn't happen in other vape-heavy places like Europe)

      3. athletes from Wuhan military games reporting Covid-like symptoms in October 2019

      4. A US teenage boy dying of textbook COVID blood clots after recovering from pneumonia in November 2019 (which implies he caught it in October)

In addition to this there were at least a dozen school pneumonia outbreaks between November-December 2019 (not linked)

I legitimately believe that COVID started out of Ft Detrick, and that it was seeded in Wuhan at a later date (probably during the Military games), as a way to deflect blame onto China (turning a blunder into an asset).

Since the funding from the Wuhan coronavirus studies were coming out of the US, it's entirely possible that both theories are true simultaneously, and that it was seeded in Wuhan at the behest of US officials (using US-aligned spies/defectors).

        July 17, 2019 at 2:43 p.m. PDT

A third person has died following an outbreak of respiratory illness at a Fairfax County assisted-living facility that began more than two weeks ago, county health officials said Wednesday.

The outbreak at Greenspring Village in Springfield also spread to the unit’s staff, affecting 19 employees, Fairfax County Health Department officials said.

Jesus, y'all are huffin on the fumes of contrarian propaganda. If there was a cluster of a couple dozen people with Covid who work at an assisted living center in early July 2019, there would have been large swaths of outbreaks immediately cascading in the aftermath.

There's being skeptical. And then there's being gullible.

You're assuming that whatever escaped there would've had the same level of transmissibility, which all confirmed COVID evidence shows would almost certainly not have been true. The virus has been GAINING transmissibility ever since November 2019.

The Wuhan strain was less transmissible than the European strain, which was less than the UK strain, which is less transmissible than the Indian strain.

It has literally been evolving to get more contagious for the last 1.5 years. If it had hypothetically escaped in July 2019 without starting an uproar, that wouldn't really contradict any of the confirmed pattern we've seen with covid thus far.

There’s being skeptical. And then there’s being gullible.

Why not bring up possible leads when everyone else is? Am I supposed to just swallow the idea that this definitely leaked from the Wuhan lab (which was fucking funded by the US anyway lmao).

Are we supposed to just say "yes investigate Wuhan, but not also the suspicious events in the US"?

Like this? Or this? Or this?

Maybe those outbreaks are all smaller and later than you'd expect, but consider the fact that if it did leak from Detrick, then the authorities likely knew who the patient zero was relatively quickly, which means they had an opportunity to do contact tracing to control the spread of the virus before they realized that it was too late to stop it. That could account for the slow spread for the first few months.

All those links you posted are from Decemberish, which is kinda whatever because everybody knows it was already here by December. I've posted a death from November which while not confirmed COVID, was EXTREMELY LIKELY to be COVID (blood clot after recovering from pneumonia in a young teen)

However, your logic is correct, a single-person leak in June would've taken months to spread, especially if the original strain was even less contagious than the Wuhan one.

There were also the August2019 vape-pneumonia outbreaks, which WAS NOT caused by vitamin E, and DID NOT happen in other countries. Vapers are 5x more likely to contract COVID if it's in the air: https://imgur.com/8mRz34e

Perhaps the guys at Ft Detrick were tracing it, realizing it was getting out of hand, and decided to seed it en-masse at the Wuhan military games as a last resort. That's my current theory.

I always found it extremely sus that the CDC chose to waste time developing their own COVID test instead of using the European one which was accurate and available in early 2020. It's like they didn't want to know the virus's true extent in the country.

Hmmm.... if this was classified (but not part of the briefings), then that would explain why Biden and co suddenly fired up the lab leak theory again when they got into office.

Oh yea, there's also the Trump timeline.

November 2019: Trump has emergency visit to Walter Reed. Reason undisclosed. Appears with massive bruise on his wrist (IV insertion)

February 2020: Trump secretly admits that covid is fucking horrible, and it's gonna kill a bunch of people.

March - October 2020: Despite this, he proceeds to never wear a mask himself. And despite not wearing a mask, he never catches COVID.

October 2020: He finally catches COVID.

To me, this suggests that he could've been dosed with some kind of "vaccine" before the pandemic started, whose effectiveness wore off in 1 year. It just explains his behavior perfectly, and why he took a year to get sick despite non-masking.

Alright since you're seemingly on this rabbit hole with me check this out. NIAID has a lab in bethesda Maryland and also Hamilton monatana. Googling stuff about bethesda is tough because they put out a lot of press releases and every medical paper has a ton of people with "MD" on their names; so I decided to check out montana.

Came across a series of articles about a mystery respiratory illness affecting dogs in 2017. https://news.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=210&Id=8145367

Other sick dogs seen in McDonald's clinic have come up positive — through PCR or culture tests — for a grab bag of pathogens: coronavirus, Streptococcus equi, pneumovirus, beta hemolytic Streptococcus, Pasteurella, E. coli and Staphylococcus schleiferi, she reported.

So contagious is the infection that Moss was only half joking when he said, "Our advice is to board up your windows and never leave your house."

If you find a highly transmissable coronavirus that's leaving dogs susceptible to bacterial infection, maybe that's the type of thing you send back to the boys in maryland

          It spread from there:
          https://news.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=210&Id=8173108

And was still spreading 1 year later, in late 2018
          https://news.vin.com/VINNews.aspx?articleId=50120

That said, it's still so far before the COVID timeline that it's hard to suspect this, is there any other reason to?

Are you thinking that this virus may have escaped from the NIAID lab in Montana? Or that it arose naturally there, and was taken into the lab (to be engineered into something like COVID)

My guess is that it was a different lab leak of a different virus. They happen all the time because they like playing with fire.

My thought is basically find nasty virus, send it to detrick. Detrick let's it mutate for two years, and then you've got the coronavirus that doesn't look engineered

This one. That lab isn't like a fort detrick as far as I can tell but if they found a particularly nasty virus I'd imagine the military would be interested
