I really don't understand how anybody can reconsider a genocide. But it's even weirder because the genocide is in progress.

A shooter is murdering people and people tell you to "reconsider" your point of view and maybe the deaths aren't murders but killings because the media will describe the murderer as a misunderstood "young" white guy who is in his 30s.

Why don't these fucking rubes maybe do some "reconsidering"? Why is it on everyone else?

Why? Because they are never, ever wrong.

In a perfect world very soon somebody would secretly record Matty speaking casually to his friends at a party. He's had a bit too much to drink and he's also particularly full of himself. The "situation" in Gaza comes up. Somebody asks him "Is 1 in a 100 people killed in a war genocide?" and he goes into detail how it is not.

In a perfect world Matt would never have been born because Turtle Island would never have been invaded and colonized.

It's been nearly a decade of libs telling voters they have to suck it up hold their nose and vote for them even if they dont like it.

Never once has the suggestion "maybe the dems should run somebody everybody doesn't hate" been even briefly considered

I was gonna say 2 decades but a lot of people liked Obama at least the first time around.

I feel like almost every general election candidate for both parties has been an unpopular stinker since probably FDR. Every couple decades there's someone who strikes a chord with voters and gets two terms, because the opposition just decides to save their actual shot for after the ringer. Reagan, Clinton, and Obama were all like that. JFK wouldve done if the CIA hadn't killed him.

Because they believe this is the best of all possible worlds, that there is no hope for anything better, and that any potential change could only be for the worse.

I have no hope that the American electorate will be thinking about the genocide in Gaza 11 months from now. 11 months is an eternity in the context of the average American’s capacity for cultural memory.

Maybe they'll come around to the policy of "fuck you I don't give a shit what you think I'm going to keep doing this"
