But she likes to call herself a historian and no one questions it. Actual historians like Kotkin and Tauger have dunked on her Ukrainian famine book. And most people who are not historians but talk history (like Mike Duncan and Dan Carlin) will always emphasize the fact that they are not historians. Because they respect the work the actual historians do.
