"BUT HE WON THO! HE LIVED TO BE ELEVENTY BILLION YEARS OLD AND NEVER GOT PUNISHED FOR WHAT HE DID!!!"

Yeah dude, we know.

It basically goes without saying that the rich/powerful will likely never face even a fraction of what they deserve no matter how horrific their atrocities. That's just how things work under capitalism/neoliberalism.

You're not exactly blowing anyone's minds Mr. Edgy Doomer (And if I'm calling you a Doomer, that's saying something).

Let's celebrate that they're unable to directly hurt anyone else anymore and try to make a world where they don't get away with it.

Also, these fucking nerds care deeply about their legacy and it makes their whole cohort seeth to see the entire world virtually open their casket and slap them right in the face. They see how savagely we disrespect their dead and the thought starts to creep about the mob beginning to treat their living the same way. I think it has strong propaganda and intimidation power. It also singles out the dumbfuck liberals who insist we mourn a monster without thinking to suggest we mourn their millions of victims.

You could see the same phenomenon when Trump caught the Rona. The masses were on the verge of throwing riots and block parties openly celebrating the death of the US President. That couldn't be tolerated by the liberals. That terrified the liberals even for a president like Trump. You had Russiagate cranks like Raechel fucking Maddow wishing him good health on live TV. Because the idea of a "democracy" celebrating the death of its leadership kinda undermines the whole spectacle.

It may not be much to celebrate these monsters dieing after living for 105 years, but the spectacle is designed to force the illusion of truth upon us while robbing us of the capability to respond. These vampires are meant to be held up as noble statesmen, as exceptional men who made the difficult but neccessary choices. Anyone harboring criticism is meant to feel alienated and alone. So while it may not be revolutionary, these moments of mass contempt for the dead represent unusual cracks in the spectacle.

It would have been so good. In life, these bastards are surrounded by so much muscle that they are practically untouchable and can impose their will on anyone without repercussions. No amount of henchmen can protect you from illness and frailty though, and when you're dead, you can't impose shit.

After a good four years feeling invincible, the MAGA assholes suddenly realized their idol was hanging on by a thread, and YOU COULD TELL the difference in their tone immediately. The folks who were nihilistic bullies just the day before suddenly felt vulnerable. They went from posting the one conservative joke to "pwetty pweese daddy get bettew." At any moment they could receive the news that their party was over.

And a lot of the people who hated Trump for the terrible (and deliberately spiteful) things he had done leaned into that vulnerability with an equal level of contempt. It almost felt like a holiday. It was the only thing anyone could talk about for days, and everyone was either ready to dance on the casket or suddenly became uncharacteristically quiet.

And if it happened, it would have been wild. Imagine if JFK got 360 no-scoped and then there were spontaneous parades. Imagine the disgust of all the the Harvard/Yale sickos who embed themselves into the deepest roots of this country's institutions. We still would have got Biden and not a thing would be different, but it would be a hell of a moment.
