    I'm sure this particular project is horseshit but let's face it humanity is going to depend on small modular reactors to air-condition cities and arcologies sooner or later

        Because those cost billions and take decades to build, the idea with smaller reactors is less startup cost and more flexibility

    It's a start up. It's going to attract millions of dollars, never accomplish anything but buying power from other power sources as an "intermediate solution", be bought up by someone with more money than sense as all the CEOs dip, then immediatly falter

      Yeah fast reactors aren't the greatest and usually require molten metal or salt as the coolant iirc

    At this point the Helios-1 style molten salt generators will probably be a better option for a lot of places in the future.
