Oh yeah same it's one of my absolute favorites but I can only listen to it a couple times a year, especially as I get older. It's so good but really fucks me up.
The Body, the Blood, the Machine by The Thermals. I love when cover art goes well with the music and this one is a 100% match. The album is essentially about how insane the US culture is, with extra attention to foreign wars and Evangelicalism. E.g.
I really love the Die Lit cover. It really captures the energy of some local shows i went to see
I wouldn't be able to pick an absolute favorite but one that comes to mind is High Visceral
And then also every single King Gizzard album cover.
On The Might of Princes - Where You Are And Where You Want To Be
Such a goofy cover, but hid an incredible record imo
The Sufferer and The Witness from Rise Against. Because if you look closely, it's of someone screaming at another person (the sufferer), and you/the listener viewing this is the "witness". At least that's how I've always interpreted it
and of course,
are some of my favorites off the top of my head.
Anderson .paak's Malibu is up there for me, reminds me of a Dali painting or something
Also all the AJJ covers and Sorry to Bother You by the Coup
One of my favorites: Presence
It has one of my favorite songs: Achilles Last Stand.
almost all of I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME's albums have really cool typography. easily my favourites.
