This could be a truly innovative way to reduce traffic congestion.

You can, but it's going to be a very expensive pain in the ass to keep water out of it.

And it's going to be a maintenance nightmare.

They won't even let you have a basement in that state, but for some reason they're trying to build an underwater tube for electric cars...

Like, it's going to flood. That's a guarantee. But you're also gonna have to deal with people being neck deep in salt water surrounded by high voltage lithium batteries.

No one ever said that the Elon's solution to congestion didn't involve killing off a bunch of people :think-mark:

I'm sure they will have a robust pump system to keep the water out. Tesla is widely known as a great place to work that really cares about the product and uses industry best practices, so they should have no trouble.

I do not trust a guy who makes cars where the steering wheel falls off to do anything infrastructure related

I just want a good car where the steering wheel does not fall off and fly out the window while you drive.

Sounds like throwing car batteries into the ocean with extra steps, so, based.

I approve of this project since at this point anything that hastens our inevitable march towards a world without Florida is a good thing
