So cringe
I remember when I ate this shit up.
Now, I'm struggling to even care enough to comment satirically. Seriously who watches this shit and who cares?
Maybe all of it. I guess if Matt said something dumb and a bunch of uninformed people took it to heart, it's good to have a response. But I'm personally not interested in watching a two hour video responding to something he said in one of his drunk/stoned stream of consciousness videos. Just seems like there are better things for me to do with my time.
This. All of it.
I don't know who these people are or what Matt said. And I don't care to find out.
Everytime Matt says dumb shit you get a bunch of dweebs parroting it all over. Idk I appreciate the effort
drunk/stoned
me every ep: "what's that drug he's using tho?"
Seriously though. Especially last summer, I had myself convinced he found some new drug they only give to the hippest Brooklyn podcasters.
I'm only just starting up the video now, but in a recent CushVLog Matt started out on a rant about how it is pointless to get into arguments with people on the Internet defending Stalin. After that, he went on for about 20 minutes making neither the case that Stalin is good, or Stalin is bad, but that Stalin was a p***y who completely blew it. I'm assuming this is a response to that.
Edit: Yes, that's exactly what this is. Cool video. :)
Glad to see you're still hanging around! :soviet-heart:
Gotta agree with a couple other commenters though that I really don't care what the chapo people are saying.
Matt C. living rent free in Historic_ly's mind palace.
No but for real, a two hour take down of Matt's short provocative remarks is one thing, but that it started off meandering down so many side alleys just wasn't the most gripping reremovedtion.
Lol the filter. Ref utation.
If you looked up meandering in a dictionary, it would have a screenshot of Matt explaining dialectical-grillpillism with a spatula in his hand. I generally enjoy listening to him thinking out loud and trying to work his way through the confounding world we live in. He's closer to the root of the matter than the vast majority of babbling morons who get shoved upon us. But the dude is not an oracle. He can get high on his own farts sometimes, and it is nice to see some legitimate criticism levelled upon him from the left.
Most of the time I hear shitlibs trying to tear the guy down and I pay no mind because his assessment of the situation is more correct than they'll ever be. Sometimes I hear bona fide leftists pan him, but with little more elaboration than that he's a comfortable aritsan/petit bourge in the imperial core. But a dissection like this is pretty uncommon.
An adequate rebuttal could have probably been done in about a half hour. A little bit more preparation and less technical difficulties live on the air would have helped, but this video gives me "If I had more time I would have written a shorter letter" vibes. It is meta-livestream commentary. In a sense, it is the sewer of video content. But along the way it covered a lot of interesting history and is holding the large adult son accountable. I see no downsides personally.

Hi Esha & crew! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your new vid!
Her talking at the beginning while Matt’s voice booms over her reminds me of Shapiro whining over imagine by John Lennon. Like at least pause it and get your thoughts out lol
