    Almost exclusively. I have plenty of socialist friends who don't support North Korea, but they at least acknowledge the other side of the argument. It's the Reddit nerds who refuse to even engage with the idea of critical support. We need to find better methods of convincing these dorks to read more theory.

      You have to start somewhere like Bolivia, Venezuela, or Cuba (probably in that order). Show them how consent gets manufactured against some country they might be open to looking at fresh.

      From there, it's a matter of "if you were lied to about this, what else were you lied to about?" on progressively more demonized countries. Leaving open the door for agnosticism helps, too -- i.e., "I'm not really sure what the DPRK is up to, but I'm pretty confident most of mainstream coverage of it is biased to the point it's useless."

        This is also the only way to make it out of some conversations alive, by being agnostic about your support for communism.
