Venezuelans will vote Sunday in a referendum to decide whether the country should create its own state within a large swath of its oil-rich neighbor Guyana – a move denounced as an annexation by Guyana and raising concerns of a possible military conflict between the two South American nations.

Sharing because I want some thoughts on this issue as someone who was born in Guyana and is now living in the US. Annexation of another countries sovereign land is unacceptable.

    Venezuela wont invade, Maduro is just using natinalism to gain support for the presidential election of next year.

      “Just using nationalism” in the context of threatening an annexation of another country. I don’t think it should be taken lightly under any circumstances
