Venezuelans will vote Sunday in a referendum to decide whether the country should create its own state within a large swath of its oil-rich neighbor Guyana – a move denounced as an annexation by Guyana and raising concerns of a possible military conflict between the two South American nations.

Sharing because I want some thoughts on this issue as someone who was born in Guyana and is now living in the US. Annexation of another countries sovereign land is unacceptable.
