Love to detail how I will personally maim a five-year-old for throwing my dollar store flag

Lol you just described exactly why the mom didn't help.

Don't worry, the flag humpers will be calling for collective punishment soon enough.

I'm so glad I was born before the internet culture war shit. I can't imagine having a parent who constantly obsesses about that shit and tries to raise me based on outrage they experience from watching videos all day. It's one thing to have conservative parents, it's another to have post-2016 conservative parents who are like "I saw a video of a kid desecrating our flag so I'm going to make sure that never happens to my kid by making them do military flag drills every day"

Creating future flag burners by overreacting to stupid online shit.

Y'know, this never used to happen back before they started pushin' their "patriotic agenda" on everyone everywhere! Maybe if they'd just stay quiet, so would everyone else!

If that was my son, he would have to participate in a retiring of that flag (even though burning novelty flags isn’t necessary I believe), then he would replace the flag for the homeowner out of his own allowance and lastly he would read the constitution and write book report.

My son would have to pray extra hard to George Washington that night and then we'd go to Mount Rushmore and I'd make him sacrifice an animal to appease America.

I would pay for it in pennies because each one is a chance to look Mr. Lincoln in the eye and thank him for preserving one nation under god. Then I would make my son, very rotund, fire a 12 gun salute to the fallen flag with 12 of my AR-15s.

Lol it was on genzedong I think or some other left sub, and there was one comment that was unironically “that’s someone’s p-p-p-property!!” And it made me laugh

Lmao. It's a $1 flag. Someone could justify the kid's actions from a nationalist perspective if they wanted to.

when I saw it on Reddit first I was a bit sad because that kid is vandalizing, something you try to make kids do less. When I see it here I'm like, of course, it's the US flag, good job kid!
