They knew they could never do shit electorally, or even much organizing locally once the 50s turned around and everything was proven to be infiltrated. The one thing you can do is support the struggle of others, and if you cannot do that, if you cannot show basic solidarity with the one successful leftist revolution in our side of the equator, then you are the enemy.
