Honestly I think that strategy is working at least on twitter. Ive mentioned it frequently before but there's so many socially reactionary Hazite "MLs" on twitter, and the social progressive leftists on there feel driven to Ultraism to not be like those people.
i've been thinking the same thing lately. it's primarily designed to stop growth of ML thought/interest among younger people by making it seem virulently socially conservative and drive a wedge around a growing but confused leftist movement
I sort of wonder if the ragebait factor (Pure spectacle?) carries with guys like him, but that doesn't explain the weird armies of really persistent name-searching infrared globe avatar guys
