I am exhausted and dead! This was a crazy week, overshot all goals, got comlpiments on my abs, and turns out Ive made no progress on weight loss, but I do look slightly more fit in the mirror, idk ...

So, did you hit your goals? What are you aiming for next week? How do you approach setting your fitness goals? How do you measure? And at least for me, most importantly - how do you decide by how much to adjust your goals?

I did a full week of workouts. First workout in years. Slowly getting better at efficiency. I still feel like I'm bad at using weights. I know you're supposed to do 8 or so reps where the last few reps are difficult but when I do that I can't do another full set. I guess idk if that's the perfect weight or I need to drop down.

Goal for this month is to do a correct pull-up.

I feel bad at weight too! I don't think that goes away, Haha

You can make progress going less close to failure. Try reducing your sets by two, and just doing one extra set.

If you're committed to the weigh you're using, you could just set a total rep goal that goes up each week, and get to it by any means necessary (long rest, smaller sets, some sets of 1 or 2 reps, any means besides lowering the weight).

Remember to reserve a day or two for rest. You dont want to burn yourself out from the very start.
