Like, if you're a leftist who thinks you should vote Biden in swing states why not just say so? That's basically the Chomsky position on voting and it's a pretty sound argument that plenty of other leftists make. Why not just say "popular front is my position, here's why it's right" instead of making shit up about Lenin?
Because they are trying to guilt trip insecure leftists who havent read enough of Lenin yet to be secure in their interpretation of his statements and theories, so its really easy to quote mine some shit he said literally once in a speech or letter to like the british communist party and then insist that the quote proves whatever you want it to mean, in order to either force someone to go "Well if Lenin said it I guess you're right" or to make them shut up because they arent sure what to think about it.
