I know it's a super toxic place to go, but I browse r/collapse every so often. in my day to day life it feels like nobody cares enough to truly reckon with the complete systems collapse we're facing, and I would rather be around a bunch of doomsayers backed by evidence than idealists ignoring the literal end of the world. like I think r/collapse is too fatalist about it, and we should organise than give up, but I still think at least looking at the situation with gut wrenching fear is far more productive than ignoring it and hoping guys like Elon Musk just magic it away

My first house I owned out of college had a fallout shelter - which we grew marijuana in - and I regret selling it now.
It was only the size of a walk-in closet though.
