Seriously. The left must organize for rent forgiveness and link up with the dispossessed people or we ain't shit. Consciousness through struggle is the only way. If we don't the conservatives will hedge limited relief along racial, geographic, economic splits and if that's nominally successful then they win.
There are lots of little left groups and organizations organizing rent strikes and blocking evictions. Problem is that I don't see them consolidating into something big, and any eviction struggle will likely fly under the radar.
