    An important aspect that this video touched upon but is usually deemphasized in climate discussion- the potentially devastating repercussions of climate refugee migrations. Remember that the Syrian refugee crisis was the catalyst for the revival of right-wing populism not just in Europe but the world over (the optics from which were weaponized by the far right and directly led to Trump's win IMO). And that was just 1 million refugees. Now imagine 10 million, 100 million, or even a billion more...how do you think the Global North will react when a fraction of that was enough to bring out their inner fascists?

    We are about to enter an era of unprecedented human suffering at a scale never before witnessed. If we can't navigate through this inevitable crisis as a unified, compassionate species (:doubt: ) then we will leave an irreparable scar on humanity forever.

      i doubt that too, idealistic approaches don't really work

      our only hope is some unexpected leap in energy technology this decade, such as nuclear fusion
