I had a great chat with a lib friend of mine today who is becoming more open to understanding the connection between imperialism and markets, and he was surprised to learn about the Bolivian coup, especially in the context of lithium deposits. He’s right on the edge of understanding more leftist perspectives, and it would be great to send him like a well written condensed breakdown of what happened in Bolivia. Does anyone have or know of anything like that?

It's not the most obvious example. But is still pretty easy: even if there was no involvement of yank money oiling up the fascists, just how the yank MSM reacted to the coup tells everything.

Basically: Evo's government wanted the resource to be exploited in a way a lot of money remains in the country; the fash regime and all their latam supporters are people who, when in government, always give tax breaks to foreing companies who makes a shitton of money extracting the resource. Guess which govwrnment yank MSM demonized and which regarded as a beacon of justice and freedom and niceness amd feminism and shit akchually

There's a lot of juicy aspects to analyze, for example the intersection with racism at many levels (international and intranational), but go slow on this lib friend of yours.
