I want more historical content from a clearly correct (read: Leftist) point of view. What else can I sink my teeth into? Are there theory podcasts as well? I feel like I'm learning a ton.

Mike Duncan is fairly left-leaning, though not an outright Marxist yet, but his Revolutions podcast has absolutely been pushing him in the right direction.

His series on the Haitian Revolution is amazing because you can see him radicalize in real time.

His most recent series is on the Russian Revolution, and has like a dozen episodes at the beginning going over basic theory as well as the history of socialism in Russia.

    I can't recommend it enough.

Matt’s Hell of Presidents has been really good. I never gave a shit about ancient US Presidential history but it’s informative for how that history informs the present.

Ok I'm gonna go against your wishes for explicitly leftist content and recommend Dan Carlin's Hardcore History episode titled "American Peril". It's like the perfect prequel to Blowback S2. It covers Cuba's war for independence against Spain that was ultimately co-opted by the US. He ends it at the end of the Spanish-American War though, so he doesn't get into how Cuba was ultimately turned into a de facto US colony.

Dan's not a leftist but he has a pretty solid anti-imperialist streak in him. He is very clear in this podcast: the US coveted Cuba and used the pretext of "liberating" them from Spain as a way to get the island for themselves.

eh... his takes on BLM were pretty reactionary to the point of saying he was scared seeing black people march in white suburbs and the history cast frequently does shit like claim "hard times create hard men" and "Greeks conquered Persia because the Greeks were 'ard and the Persians were decadent and soft"

FYI Breht on Rev Left Radio recently did an episode with a guy who wrote a book on Korea, it was really great. Mostly about the lead up to the Korean War. It's called "Patriots, Traitors, and Empires".

Just started listening to Everybody Loves Communism - https://fans.fm/everybodylovescommunism - where they go through theory texts and kinda explain it in a more approachable way. Seems pretty good so far, not sure I agree with the hosts completely on everything, but they openly say they are still kinda figuring out exactly what they think/believe as they go, as am I, so it's all good.
