As the empire declines and climate change wrecks havoc on the capitalist world order, liberals in increasing numbers will retreat into coping fantasies, utopian fictions of liberal institutions triumphing over the entrenched capitalist powers that underlay the very same institutions they adore, even while these liberal beacons fail systemically around the world

Once upon a time liberals could form material analyses of the crises that undermine capitalism and adjust accordingly, but not anymore they're out of ideas and imagination, even the best of them can only try and fit the square peg of Keyne's general theory into the round hole of modern capitalist Digitalism

As always, the only future is with the working class
