      The point of the report isn't the numbers, it's the shock value. It's 1950s-style "is your neighbor a communist?" fearmongering with a fresh coat of paint. Get people to think that anyone, anywhere who doesn't repeat the propaganda could be one of them.

      It's pretty apparent already on twitter, reddit, etc. Takes about 2 minutes for anyone who pushes back on anti-Chinese propaganda to get called a wumao or worse.
