My favorites are the one-liners that just repeat the same joke with no elaboration or critical thought.

"Jews for Hitler" https://www.reddit.com/r/nyc/comments/18hl2ue/hundreds_of_queers_for_palestine_demonstrators/kd7ds8i/

"Chickens for nuggets."https://www.reddit.com/r/nyc/comments/18hl2ue/hundreds_of_queers_for_palestine_demonstrators/kd78d88/

"Cows for Cheeseburgers" https://www.reddit.com/r/nyc/comments/18hl2ue/hundreds_of_queers_for_palestine_demonstrators/kd8ebv5/

And finally, "When the chickens march for Popeyes," which is followed up with "You win Reddit today" + "I snorted laughing at this" "https://www.reddit.com/r/nyc/comments/18hl2ue/hundreds_of_queers_for_palestine_demonstrators/kd77ez3/

And then we have a kind, considerate liberal who says "Please deport these idiots to Gaza." https://www.reddit.com/r/nyc/comments/18hl2ue/hundreds_of_queers_for_palestine_demonstrators/kd77srw/

Along with this guy who clearly does not understand the Constitution, saying, "I don't care what you believe. Its a free country. DO NOT BLOCK THE FUCKING ROADS." https://www.reddit.com/r/nyc/comments/18hl2ue/hundreds_of_queers_for_palestine_demonstrators/kd7cz4m/

And finally, a special shoutout to this absolute genius who literally just posted a link to the Wikipedia page for "Islamo-leftism" https://www.reddit.com/r/nyc/comments/18hl2ue/hundreds_of_queers_for_palestine_demonstrators/kd7u2ll/

So if we're to adopt the position that the victims of genocidal actions should not get our support because we assume that they are anti-queer and, in fact, we should be supporting their genocide then I have to stop and wonder exactly how progressive holocaust victims were on the matter of queer rights?

Because if queer people should only oppose genocide when we feel like we are supported by a particular group and if we take the baseline levels of queerphobia from a century ago in Europe then it seems like we would be acting in our "best interests" to support the holocaust by their shitty logic.

Or, let's make it more contemporaneous: "I do not oppose the (alleged) Uyghur genocide because (I assume) the Uygurs are not progressive enough on queer rights for my tastes."

I wonder how they'd manage to square either of those two circles?

Somehow the city subreddits are always the worst. Absolutely infested with chuds

It’s the combination of right wing trolls who don’t live in the city in question, people who live in the suburbs outside of the city in question, and finance/tech bro yuppies.

The funny irony thing is that the people who do live in these cities and post on subs always want to talk about the culture and their idea of culture is eating at a restaurant that seasons their food. That's not culture, that's like watching Spongebob and saying you understand Underwater life, that's you being a tourist in the same block you live in man.

Ironically, these are the people who kill culture, never had their own organic culture and wouldn't even know culture if it punched them in the face.

I’ve been working on a residents:redditors ratio chart to track which cities have the worst gentrifiers but Pittsburgh has a ratio twice as worse as anyone else’s, probably because its sub includes the entire west third of PA

like 90% of the comments there are clearly astroturf pushing a single, clear talking point, but this one seems too gormless and pathetic to be fake

i think these past few months more than anything have really cemented in me that white Americans do not view Arab Muslims as human beings. You'd think I would have already known that, I lived through 9/11 and the Iraq War. I even remember the same thing being said back then, that gay people and women shouldn't oppose the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq because Muslims are simply the enemy.

this is truly sick shit on display. They can't consider for a second why queer people might sympathize with Palestinians. The thought only goes as far as "Palestinian = Muslim = Evil." And they don't even offer sympathy for these protestors, it's an immediate death threat. Telling people that Palestinians would throw gay people off a bridge? Jesus Christ, and you're supposed to be better? Making up fantasies in your head about queer folk getting stoned to death or thrown off bridges because they dared to suggest Palestinians should be allowed to be alive?

    "

Colonialism and imperialism have always tried to foment conflicts in order to divide and conquer. In the case of Palestinians, as [the Lebanese LGBT group] Helem concluded, “[T]he rights of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders should not be placed in competition with the long struggle of the Palestinian people, including Palestinian LGBT people, for self-determination, for the right to return to their homes, and the struggle against apartheid and the occupation of their lands.”

Today we see how the imperialists—the U.S. to Israelis—use the experiences of women, of gays, of transgenders as pretexts for imperialist war. The white supremacist ideology replaces the colonial claim of “bringing civilization,” into imperialist claims that they are “bringing democracy.” But Washington and Tel Aviv have brought ruthless reactionary occupations to the Middle East.

These idiots love to spin up bullshit atrocity porn and just run wild with it as if it is even slightly based in reality. The reality is gay people have gone to Gaza and they were treated fine, like in this video putting all their bullshit claims to rest:

The Los Angeles subreddit is no better. a few days ago the yuppies and landlords inhabiting that filth were bitching and moaning about a protest that blocked a major freeway. Of course they deliberately missed the point, complaining that these protests will "only make people hate the cause", as if these crocodile-teared ghouls weren't already on the side of genocide.

Not to insult real Jews or to validate Israel's stated identity, but "Jews for Hitler" is just kind of the state of Israel.
