I am so proud of this dude. My interpretation of his hand gestures is that this whole encounter made him very uncomfortable, but he soldiers on because he won't stand for this bullshit.

Waiting for someone to tell me it is all staged...

I did something similar to an ancap once, he was trying to start his argument with the typical “assume a person is his own property, he owns himself” presumption, and I flatly said “Concepts of property are legalistic ones, they’re not universal nor biological so I reject that premise.” Oh my god did he rage and insist I had to accept it.

How tf did Twitter go from being r/atheism to having religious zealots. The comments are religious cancer. Is it Musk effect?

This didn't start with twitter. In the early 2000s, the religious right didn't have the media or the public "intellectual" that they have now. So the online atheists dominated. Then, once all the right wing media shit caught up to the podcasting and vlogging era, it started to dominate. It turns out a lot of those atheists had no real convictions they were just doing it because it was a vaguely organized outlet for political dissatisfaction. Once they had a Peterson instead of a Hitchens, they latched on to that because they were always reactionary.

It became contrarian to the liberal status quo of online interaction to do the trad life shit. So now you have a bunch of disingenuous religious freaks who are once again clinging to some vague cultural organization because they have nothing else.

Elon Musk barely even pretends to be Christian lol. He throws “Thank you Lord for this Blessed Day” faux-devout bullshit every now and then just because
