Shes a breadtuber, meaning she makes informative youtube content with a left/liberal patina. Shes, like, the ur-breadtuber too. She started before her transition and transitioned while still making videos, which I found very inspiring for a while it helped me figure my own gender shit out. She was also on chapotraphouse as a guest a while back.
We "care" because she's popular and when videos drop it makes the rounds on the internet. Shes painfully liberal, lol, I saw someone here put it best "she showed more sympathy towards JK Rowling than Mao."
She keeps getting run off Twitter for saying dumb stuff in tweets or on her videos. I dont catalogue that or keep track but I'm pretty sure shes been through the cancel ringer more than once and vowed to stay off only to keep returning. Like when you have a sore tooth and just keep picking at it. Kind of a glutton for punishment I guess.

The older videos were mostly dunking on alt-right figures, using some edgy humor. Also, her older stuff was based on a conversation between multiple political persona, rather than just a two hour lecture by an insufferable lib. Transcripts are available for the older episodes, but the pre-transition ones have been removed from the youtube channel.
Contrapoints was hailed as this wonderful media to deradicalize/ detoxify a certain type of male/white/cishet very online person who had fallen down the Ben Shapiro-> Alt Right clickhole. This got Natalie lots of media attention, but she got tired of having the responsibility for deradicalization put on her. Her videos got longer, more flashy, and more defensive of her own personal choices.
