    The genius of Come and See was that it was so different from most movies about war, and yet it was so much more realistic and it manages to convey it.

    The protagonist doesn't fire a single shot throughout most of the movie, he's mostly just ducking, hiding, running, and in general just surviving. The only time he does shoot is at a propaganda poster of Hitler, which shows clips of Hitler's life rolling younger and younger until he's a toddler, at which point the protagonist stops shooting.

    Great movie. Gonna have to come back to this once I’m off work.

    In stark contrast to the movie’s ending I would absolutely like to keep shooting if I had the chance. Whether or not I actually have the nerve to would be a different question.
