Which wouldn't make any sense at all except that the 2 trillion dollars comes from around 100 million US taxpayers, most of it goes to the around 10,000 guys who own military contracting businesses to buy obscenely overpriced military hardware which hundreds of thousands of poor Americans then have a real bad time using to utterly destroy the lives of tens of millions of Afghanis so that the like, 1000 very rich americans can make obscene profits off those 7 cents cheaper minerals.
