I just know that this person has done awful things to people and has used "I can't help it, I'm autistic" as an excuse. As a neurotypical with a lot of autistic friends, I know when autistic people "can't help it" like when they need to stim. None of my autistic friends have a compulsion to say and do unpleasant things because they are autistic. This person is just an asshole.

      I agree with you.

Unexamined autism can look like this, but this something I've largely guided my children out of already. A well-adjusted autistic adult doesn't do that shit. We know that neurodivergence can be an explanation for why some gross impulses can bubble up, but it's not an excuse for going hog wild with them.

Saying and doing vile shit is saying and doing vile shit, regardless of the reason. I've done it, and I'm ashamed of it. So I work to do better. I don't just shrug and go, "Well! That's how my brain works! I guess genocide just rules now!"

Why am I a Zionist? Breast cancer awareness. Go anywhere in Gaza right now and you won't see a single pink ribbon on the back of an SUV.

The Nakba was when Israel stole millions of NFT apes from Palestinians. Most Palestinians still keep the codes to their empty crypto wallets as a sign of hope and resistance.

Of all the online things I’ve read in my life, this might be the onlinest.

Had an autistic Jewish pal more or less say this as a joke. It was phrased well and hit, but it's one of those funny depending on who says it jokes.

If an autistic person told me that they planned to murder my family and build a shopping mall on the ruins of their house, I don't think that I would be very forgiving of such a statement.

this happened to me! and i do not have fond memories of spending time with this person! because despite both of us being autistic, it does not become magically ok to do this sort of shit!!

Hamas has never done operations outside of historic Palestine.

The full post is so much more unhinged. Anyone know what’s up with the “attack every Jew on planet earth” quote? Is the translation funky or is that genuine?

Edit: I looked it up myself. The linked clip is Palestinian Legislative Council member Fathi Hammad speaking in 2019 and while I couldn’t find any alternate translations, I also didn’t find anything contesting the statement. In fact, he was forced to walk back his statements after widespread condemnation, which included Hamas and a number of Palestinian activist groups.

There are genuine anti-Semites in Palestine. Quoting some random bigot and acting as if they represent the entire group is one of the pillars of rainbow/pink imperialism. I'm guessing that's what has happened here.

From researching quickly it seems that a Hamas official said this in 2019 (unsure if the translation is good) and then a couple of days later Hamas publicly clarified that this was incorrect and did not represent their position.

“These remarks do not reflect the official stances of Hamas and its policy,” stated Hamas on Monday in response to Hamas official Fathi Hamad who on Friday told Palestinians worldwide to “attack every Jew on planet Earth.” In the statement on their website, Hamas stressed that it's stances and policy “state that our struggle is only against the Israeli occupation which occupies our land and desecrates our holy places.”

In response to Hamad's remarks, Hamas official Ahmed Yussuf stated earlier on Monday that Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh “needs to stress that our conflict is with the occupation army, and not Jews from all over the world,” according to KAN. “Those words do not represent Hamas,” Yussuf claimed, and called on Haniyeh to stress that the fight is not against all Jews, but only against the occupation army. [source]

One would struggle to and find a similar response when an Israeli official goes on a genocidal rant against Palestinians/Arabs as happens regularly [1] [2].

Irregardless, these positions in the resistance come from Israel’s own insistence on carrying out their violent colonial settler project in the name of all Jewish people/the Jewish identity (as Hamas states in point 16 of their 2017 charter), which both allows them to characterize any opposition as antisemitism and fuels antisemitism among the people they oppress.

That is some made up shit. Just like the whole 'Palestinian Hamas agents that were 'rounded up' planning to attack Jewish institutions.' They arrested some Palestinians who may have been planning protest demonstrations and were affiliated with Palestinian aid organizations. It's literally the Iraq thing all over again.

It’s actually not made up. It was a statement from 2019 that was later rescinded but it was indeed said.

It's super refreshing when Israeli officials blurt their plans for genocide?

It's kind of nice when Israel confirms your allegations against them. And when libs defend Israel anyway so you can remove all doubt about libs being evil from your own mind.
