A local overpriced generic cafe whined on their signboard and facebook page about nobody wanting to work anymore. They said they have open positions and no applicants. I checked the listings and there was no mention of pay.
I'll never spend a dollar in that business again. In situations like two of my exes wanting to go there because we're next to it, I'll propose any other coffee house within walking distance and make sure to loudly shit talk the owner. When more posts pop up about it in my local subreddit, I'll be in each new one remarking how insufferable the owner must be if they refuse to list a wage and can't attract or keep workers. If my turn comes, that's a small business kulak I'll remember by name for their exceptional lack of compassion in such trying times for workers.
Wholly forgettable and on par with Starbucks. One of the best roasters I've ever been to is like a five minute walk away so if anything it's a gain to the community if that place has less competition.
edit: And their baked goods are competing with the co-op grocer down the road.

you imagine how shitty the coffee must be at a place owned by a cost-cutting, blood sucking leach? No thanks.

Business owners whining “Nobody wants to work for me!” has the same energy as incels whining “nobody wants to date me!”
